The History
In Greek culture, it is believed that when someone is envious of you, they'll have the power to give you an 'evil glare' and send bad luck your way. This belief was passed through history and still exists today.
The Meaning
The ‘mati’ or ‘evil eye’ is a symbol of protection against jealousy, ill-wish and negativity.

VESY candles are made to be put on display. To preserve the look and quality of your candle and prevent discolouration, always keep it away from drafts, air vents and sunlight.
Each candle is specially hand-poured. Variances may occur from one piece to another.
All VESY candles are intended as decorative home decor. However, if you wish to burn them please adhere to the following recommendations:
- Always trim the candle wick 3-5mm each time before lighting to ensure a clean, smoke-free burn.
- Allow wax to solidify between burns before trimming.
- Allow the candle to burn for at least one hour when first lit to allow for an adequate melt pool.
- To avoid damaging surfaces, furniture or other objects, please place your candle in a deep dish or on a heat-safe surface before lighting.
- Keep away from children, pets and any flammable items. As each candle is hand-poured, some variances may occur. Never leave a lit candle unattended.
- Due to the intricate designs, the wax melt can leak and drip excessively. We suggest you blow out the candle, wait for the wax to solidify (ensuring it is not hot) and place back on top to block the leak holes.
